HIPS 7055
Categories: HIPS Grades, Polystyrene Grades
Description
HIPS 7055 is a specific grade of High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) known for its excellent processing in extrusion (thermoforming) and good finished product dimensional stability. It offers a balance of impact resistance, stiffness, and ease of processing.
- Melt Flow Rate (200°C / 5 Kg): 4.5 g/10min
- Tensile strength: 30 MPa
- Flexural modulus: 2100 MPa
- Charpy Izod impact strength: 11.5 KJ/m²
- Vicat softening point at 120°C, 1 kg: 92°C
The material provides high impact resistance and dimensional stability in finished products.
HIPS 7055 is commonly used for:

- Refrigerator liners for inserts and door paneling
- Packaging applications for oily food and dairy products
- Sheet extrusion applications
