EPS 522FC
Description
FC522 represents an advanced technical-grade expandable polystyrene (EPS) formulation engineered specifically for fast-cycling production environments and applications requiring superior water resistance properties. This specialized polymer system incorporates pentane as the primary expansion agent within spherical polystyrene beads of ultra-fine diameter (0.3-0.5 mm). The material exhibits exceptional molecular characteristics enabling the achievement of controlled low-density foam structures without compromising structural integrity or introducing processing defects such as agglomeration during the pre-expansion phase. It should be noted that this specialized formulation is non-fire retardant and consequently not appropriate for building applications where flame resistance is mandated by regulatory requirements.
221HS is a high-strength, free-flowing expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade. It is made of spherical polystyrene beads containing pentane as the expansion agent. 221HS is designed for expansion to achieve low densities, formulated to produce low-density foam without lumps during pre-expansion. It is produced through the suspension polymerization method. 221HS is not fire retardant and is therefore not suitable for building applications requiring flame resistance.
