Description

HEX4460 PE80+ is a high molecular weight, high-density polyethylene with high melt viscosity for extrusion. This grade, which is produced by 1-hexene co-monomer, is classified as PE 80+ and provides excellent environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) combined with very good long-term hydrostatic strength and good processability. HEX4460 PE80+ has been manufactured under a Basell license.

  • Gas Distribution: HDPE PE80 is commonly used for gas pipes, particularly in residential and commercial settings, due to its ability to withstand pressure and resist corrosion.
  • Water Supply: It is widely employed in potable water supply systems, ensuring safe and clean drinking water without leaching harmful substances into it.
  • Industrial Applications: HDPE PE80 is suitable for transporting industrial fluids and chemicals, thanks to its high chemical resistance and strength.
  • Sewage and Drainage Systems: The material is used in sewer systems and drainage applications, where its durability and resistance to environmental factors are crucial.
  • Irrigation Systems: In agricultural settings, HDPE PE80 pipes are used for irrigation, providing reliable water delivery with minimal leakage.
