Description

  • HMCRP100N (PE100) is a natural pipe grade resin made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) through suspension polymerization of ethylene monomer. It incorporates 1-Butene as a co-monomer, making it a bi-modal HDPE. This material is specifically designed to manufacture gas and water transportation pipes at higher pressures or with thinner walls than PE80. It features UV stabilization and/or pigments during processing, and additives such as antioxidant/process stabilizer and lubricant (processing aid)/acid scavenger to enhance its properties and performance.
  • despite the fact that both CRP100N and PE100 exhibit similar high-density polyethylene characteristics, CRP100N is specifically designed for those applications where cracking during installation processes is an issue. On the other hand, PE100 is more widely used because of its durability and resistance in different piping applications.
  • High Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR): CRP100N exhibits outstanding resistance to cracking under stress, making it suitable for challenging environments.
  • Impact Strength: Its high impact strength allows it to maintain integrity under sudden impacts, reducing the risk of failure.
  • Hydrostatic Strength: The material can withstand high internal pressures, making it a preferred choice for pressure applications.
  • Chemical Resistance: CRP100N is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, which extends its usability across various industrial applications.
  • Pipe Extrusion: CRP100N is primarily used in the extrusion of pipes classified under PE100, which are known for their high performance and durability.
  • Industrial and Pressure Pipes: It is suitable for manufacturing industrial pipes that require high strength and resistance to pressure. This includes applications in various sectors such as oil and gas, chemicals, and water treatment.
  • Gas Pipes: The material is ideal for gas transportation systems due to its excellent hydrostatic strength and resistance to environmental stress cracking (ESCR), ensuring safety and reliability in gas distribution networks.
  • Drinking Water Pipes: CRP100N is also utilized in the production of potable water pipes, meeting stringent health and safety standards necessary for drinking water applications.
  • Fittings and Relining: This material can be used to produce fittings for piping systems and is effective for relining old or damaged pipelines, enhancing their lifespan and performance.

Additives

This resin typically includes:

  • Antioxidants and Process Stabilizers: To enhance thermal stability during processing.
  • Lubricants and Acid Scavengers: To improve processing efficiency and product quality

Safety Precautions:

  • Protective gear such as gloves and safety glasses is recommended when handling molten polymers to prevent thermal injuries.
  • Proper ventilation is essential during processing to avoid inhalation of fumes.

Storage Recommendations:

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, ideally below 50°C.
  • The material should be processed within six months of delivery to maintain quality; prolonged storage can lead to degradation.
